ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

This International Standard provides a set of test pages in a common file format that are utilized in testing the cartridge yields for the colour toner as well as colour ink. This test suite is not intended to print photos however it does offer a sample of consumer pages. These pages can be printed in accordance with ISO/IEC 1998 and ISO/IEC24711.
IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission) along with ISO (the International Organization for Standardization), form the international standardization system. IEC or ISO member countries participate in the development international standards by way of technical committees. These committees are responsible for specific technical tasks. In the areas of mutual concern The ISO and IEC Technical Committees collaborate. Through ISO/IEC, other international organisations, both governmental and not-governmental, participate in the work. ISO/IEC JTC 1 is an ISO/IEC joint technical committee. It is accountable for drafting international standards in the area of information technology.

The draft International Standards that the joint technical committee has adopted have been distributed to national bodies for their approval. ISO and IEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any of these patent rights. Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC1 was the responsible body for ISO/IEC 24712 which was drafted by the Subcommittee SC28 Information technology. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO/IEC 24712:2006) and is minor revisions.

Test pages in color to determine office equipment consumable loss 1 Scope. The objective of the International Standard is to establish tests in color to determine the loss of consumables. The test page set includes four "customer" kinds of documents, as well as one "diagnostic" documents, which are used for determining the consumable limit of toner and ink. These pages can be used for electro-photographic, inkjet printers and multi-function devices that have a digital printing path, i.e. An all-in-one machine that can digitally print.

This International Standard contains a list of test pages in common format files that can be used in testing yields that are consumable.
